Morro Bay White Caps

Brenda Hascall was appointed conductor in spring of 2022.  She earned a B.A in music performance at California State University Northridge, and a       M.A. in band conducting from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University.  She has been a music educator on the central coast for 28 years with experience at all grade levels. Brenda has been involved with community music since the early 1990s when she was conductor for the Cambria Instrumental Ensemble.  She and her husband Brian also both played with the Alan Hancock Community Band.  Brian plays the trumpet and Brenda played both trumpet and saxophone.  Brenda is employed with the Lompoc Unified School District where she currently teaches band, orchestra, and guitar at the middle school level.   She is an alto saxophone player, published music composer, and is sought after as a guest conductor.
